Welcome to Department of Food Production

The Department is associated with mother department of Home Science since 1987. The name of the department was earlier as the Bakery Department. It was established separately from Home Science Department in the year 2001. The department teaches the vocational subject of Food Production.
Food production is a two years course taught to 11th & 12th standard students. The course contains Bakery Technology, Cookery Technology, Indian Cuisines, International Cuisines, & Hygiene Food costing etc. subjects. The intake capacity of the course is 40. The course contains Industrial Visits & implant training in Food Industry or Hotel Industry.
The passed students get career opportunities in Bakery Industry, Industrial Catering. They can start Catering Business. This course is thoughtfully designed keeping in mind the need of the Hotel Industry. The content will impart the necessary theoretical & practical skills required to take up challenges in any star categorized hotels.
